Two years ago, my father came down with a terminal illness. My biological mother left us to move across the country, and I had to support myself and my dad. In late 2008, however, we reconnected with the woman who was my step-mother when I was a child; we’d had problems then, because she was an undiagnosed bipolar. Through a lot of understanding between she and I, we’ve gotten over mistakes of the past and she has been a huge help in our family. She and my father got remarried and now he’s much happier and feeling better all the time. She helps support our family and remains anxious, but upbeat, even now that we may lose our home. With her help, I managed to go to and get into college, where I am now.
I don’t know if I’ll be able to afford to get her a Mother’s Day present to thank her for what she’s done for me, and my dad, which is why I’m entering this contest. A picture frame like that would be wonderful for her – she has a ton of pictures of my step-sister and her son, who live two states away, and new pictures of herself with my dad and even some of me. I’d love to be able to give her something to express how I feel about her living with us again.
I would like to win the 3.5 Digital picture frame so I can remember the moment of me and my loved ones. I was visiting my friends house recently and saw a digital photo frame and instantly wanted one. With this being small enough to fit in my purse I can show my family off to people any time.
