Shoes—Tres Belle, Sigerson Morrison Revamps Site

I had a conversation recently with a fashiony friend, who said she used to be obsessed, obsessed with Sigerson Morrison, and now she didn’t really care. We were walking by the boutique on West 3rd Street, and I nonchalantly agreed—I, too, was obsessed, but now didn’t feel the pull of the label.
Cut to a few days later and word comes that Sigerson has relaunched its website, with much improved ecommerce. And once again I find myself gushing over the brand, with particular love for its lesser-priced (but certainly not cheap) Belle pre-fall 2009 collection.
Sleek with a smidge of chunkiness in the stacked heels, a bit raw with the exposed zippers and a pretty palette (black, nubuck, gray, light brown, a siren red patent), it doesn’t fall prey to hardcore trendy. The prices are still more than I can afford ($290-$495), but don’t make my stomach plunge like the Sigerson line (from mid-to-high three figures up to $1,000-plus). Because, seriously, I don’t need online browsing stress.
Two more styles, a moccasin boot and skimmers…
