Impulse Buy of the Week – MAC Buckwheat Eyeshadow
If you can only get one new brown shadow this season, THIS is the one to pick up!
Buckwheat is one of three shades featured in the new MAC Naked Honey Collection. It’s versatile, yet unique enough to earn a spot in your makeup collection. Buckwheat is a dark chocolate brown with a shimmery gold frost (shown above right).
However, what sets it apart from many other brown shadows in the line is that this has a nice touch of grey in it, and the brown leans more towards a cool bronze shade.
As with all the MAC powder eye shadows I’ve tried, this blends like a dream with a creamy, silky texture and lots of beautiful pigment. It had excellent staying power with very little creasing as well.
This is a shade that will work with virtually all skin tones and makes a beautiful smoky eye shadow choice for night time.
