Surf’s Up – The Ultimate So Cal Flip Flop

I’m going to be going down to LA to visit some friends, so I was preparing for my trip with a little LA-themed retail therapy. First stop: Rainbows. Now, I lived in LA as a kid and went to college there, too so I can attest to the fact that it has an interesting style dynamic. To a certain extent it’s all about the look – what you’re wearing, how it’s put together, is it bold enough, hip enough, creative enough, but not too creative? The interesting twist is that Angelinos LOVE their flip flops.

But not just any flip flops. No, you’ve gotta have Rainbow flip flops. They’re the quintissential beach sandal, the ultimate accessory and they’re supposed to last forever which would justify their price tag. I’ve known about them since college when friends raved and RAVED about them, but had yet to try them, so I figured this would be my forray into the LA flip flop culture.
