Alright, I know I just posted about the J Brand Gallery at Ron Herman Melrose yesterday, but while it’s still fresh on the mind, I wanted to tell you what’s been on my mind ever since—the J Brand/Hussein Chalayan jodhpur-esque jeans. I was immediately transfixed on J Brand co-founder/designer Susie Crippen at the launch Saturday: Did I like them? Are they crazy? Now, I’m a bit obsessed. I’m going to have to go back and at least try a pair on to see if the looseness/bunching at the thigh and knee, tightness through the calf and ankle works as well pour moi as it does for a seriously toned and lithe Crippen. The fit might not be the only thing that stands in my way, as the collab collection runs in the $200-plus arena (which, I actually thought would be more). Fortunately, obsessing is totally free.
