Vintage Pick of the Day: Great Gasp-y

6955a
Rachel Zoe may have made the expression “I die!” popular, but for me, when I see a breathtaking vintage piece, it literally takes my breath away and I….gasp.

So while today’s VPOD look like it might have been worn by Daisy in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, The Great Gatsby, I prefer to think of it as “the Great Gasp-y.”

It’s certainly one of the most unique and beautiful 1920s flapper dresses I’ve ever seen. From the open work on the neckline to the beaded geometric shapes on the bodice, from the green ribbon cummerbund at the hip to the magnificent draping of the chiffon, this one is truly a gem.

It’s a rare one-of-a-kind find for a vintage fashionista!

  1. It annoys me so much that I’ve adopted that Rachel Zoe speak… but it’s everywhere, I can’t fight it! And this dress is worth dying for: the work that must have gone into it is just amazing.
