Vintate Pick Of the Day: Chocolate Chic

If you’re the type that likes to eat cocoa puffs with chocolate milk for breakfast, it might surprise you to know that the EPA allows varying levels of insecticide residue to be present in the cocoa powder used in some your favorite treats. So if you prefer your chocolate without any trace of methyl bromide, glyphosphate or lindane, a pesticide used as a treatment for head lice but found in contaminated European chocolate, you might want to start choosing theorganic variety.
Of course, if you’re watching your waistline along with your health, bypass the melt-in-your-mouth goodness entirely and get a chocolate fashion fix instead. Today’s VPOD features a yummy cocoa colorbeaded dress from the 1940s that has zero calories but oodles of style. It’s in wonderful condition (with no missing beads!) and doesn’t that little swag on the hip just want to make you swagger away in it?
It’s pure chocolate chic for a vintage fashionista!
