Eco-Friendly Green Cleaning Products That Really Work

I just moved from an apartment in the Chicago suburbs to Toledo, OH. We’d lived in that apartment for almost 10 years so there was a lot of deep cleaning to do before we moved into our new place. I decided to use green, eco-friendly cleaning products and I was very happy to find some that really worked quite well even on grease and heavy crud build up.

The stove was my biggest challenge, while we kept the stove top pretty clean, I hadn’t taken apart the stove and cleaned under the burners for a very long time and there was a lot of grease and crud under there. The product that I used and was very pleased with the results was Method all purpose dilutable cleaner. I found it at my local Target for about $4. It worked fantastic for cleaning floors, the refrigerator and the bathtub as well. I just used about a  half cup in a bucket of water. It smells great and is made from plant-based cleaners.

For cleaning mirrors and glass surfaces try method Window Wash Glass & Surface Cleaner. The trick to getting streak free glass when you use this,  is to use less than you would with other cleaners and use a microfiber cloth or coffee filter  instead of paper towels. The Mint stuff smells fantastic! You can buy bulk, (8 bottles) from Amazon for a cost of around $30 or individual bottles for about $4.
