As a vintage fashionista, when I do choose a new item, I admit that I think of future value. I usually ask myself, “Is this something that I’d like to pass on to my granddaughter someday?” And if it is, do I think that it’s timeless enough that she’ll appreciate the gift!

So today I present the first Future VPOD. This leaf bib necklace by Michelle Roy was one of the first items I included in my new Open Sky store and I was especially pleased to see Lacey Brown wearing it on American Idol last night. But we’re not the only Michelle Roy fans out there. Her designs have been worn by Demi Moore, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Lopez and Miley Cyrus, too.

And don’t go thinking this beauty is only for fancy occasions like the American Idol finals. It does just fine with jeans and a tee, thank you. And all this versatility for dressing up or down clocks in at under $100!

It’s some fab bling (and perhaps a future collectible) for a vintage fashionista!
