Grilling Gifts for the Barbecuing Dad for Father’s Day

At our house, my hubby is King of the Grill.  You won’t hear any complaints from me.  I love summer nights when I get a break from making dinner and the delicious aroma of a steak on the grill wafts through the air.  For dads who love to barbecue, consider putting together a gift basket of gourmet grilling products from Williams Sonoma.  Start with a grilling cookbook to give dad a few new ideas to try his hand at.  Add a set of grilling rubs which include Smoke House, Chili Lime, Spicy Chipotle and Potlatch Seasoning.  Toss in a couple of accessories like the ones below and you’re set!  A great gift for Dad on Father’s Day.

  • Flexible Grilling Skewers-  A spin on a traditional shish kabob skewer, and made from non reactive stainless steel, these skewers are flexible and easier to work with.  They are bendable to fit inside a bag or bowl for marinating and hold twice as much food.  Drape the tip of the skewer over the grill’s edge so it stays cool and you’ll easily be able to turn them and remove them when they are ready.  A set of 4 retails for $19.95.
  • Fine Mesh Grilling Pan- Extra fine mesh stainless steel grill pan allows you to brown and sauté even the smallest pieces of food on your grill.  A removable handle allows the pan to be fully enclosed in the grill for a delicious smoky flavor.  Pan retails for $29.95
  • 4 Piece Grilling Tools Set-  Stainless steel grilling tools set includes a basting mop, fork, slotted spatula and tongs in an attractive storage case.  Retails for $79.95.  Get the case monogrammed for a special touch.  Extra charge applies.

The best new gadget we found for our grill, and love, love, love, is a grill surface called: GrillGrate. It really is the best upgrate for our grill and we finally can grill fish and get it on the plate in one piece because of this genius Tool that comes with the package and allows you to lift up the fish rather than scraping it off the grill wire. It fits between the rails…and really why nobody thought of this before is a mystery to me. It’s a great find!
