Boy Meets Girl Launches Online Casting Call for Spring 2011 Runway Show
Online model castings are making a mark on the upcoming runway shows this September when the Spring/Summer 2011 collections will be shown. Trendsetting label Boy Meets Girl which is sold at Bloomingdales, Saks and Fred Segal will be casting models for their Spring 2011 runway show at the Met Pavilion next month.
“Online castings are catching on because designers can be more time, energy, and cost efficient than they can with traditional castings,” says Stacy M. Igel, Boy Meets Girl’s founder/creative director, as quoted by StyleList.
The online castings will be managed by ExploreModeling.com and up to 10 models will be booked for the Boy Meets Girl runway show.
For her Fall 2010 show, Egel received more than 1,500 applications for a photoshoot.
