JuJu Chan Texture Powder Styler – Formulated with Asian Hair Textures in Mind

San Francisco stylist, JuJu Chan recently launched her first product, a Texture Powder Styler. Jules is a founder and co-owner of Dekko Salon and has spent over 30 years styling hair for clients and as an instructor around the globe, as well as styling hair for fashion, music videos, commercials and print. Jules found that most dry shampoos don’t work well on Asian hair because of its thicker texture. And to tell you the truth, I can’t stand the smell of most of them. This modern powder not only works as a dry shampoo by absorbing excess oil so you can go an extra day or two without shampoo.  The Texture Powder Styler also adds a boost of extra volume too, giving oily flat hair additional body and texture, leaving it looking fresh and fluffy looking. The Texture Powder Styler comes in two shades: Light Blonde and Brown.

This product was designed specifically for my Asian hair and comes in two shades. I have tried other dry shampoos in the past, but they didn’t seem to make my hair feel clean or add texture. The day or two after shampooing my hair, it looks best as it settles into place. This is the ideal product to add the volume I need and to keep my hair fresh feeling. This product also is NOT scented, so there is no overpowering afterscent. It was very easy to use, but it is best to use over the sink as the dispenser is not a spray, but a powder shaker dispenser. I’ve experienced some of the powder falling out of my hair during application, so I found that it is best to apply over a sink. I haven’t had any staining on my scalp and usually use the product 2-3 times a week. This will be one of my must-have products to take along to Fashion Week since it is going to be a very hectic week.
