Gerard Yosca may have come a long way since creating the first-ever butterfly clip, but he’s not afraid to celebrate his roots, and it shows in his use of raw, natural materials like wooden beads, resin, horn, and coral, and his ability to infuse whimsy to add a touch of personality to understated textiles. Yosca’s jewelry has since been worn by the likes of Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, Gwyneth Paltrow, and a slew of other stylish celebrities, and he’s collaborated with Nicole Miller, Ralph Lauren, Nanette Lepore, and Oscar de la Renta.
