Beauty Find – Caudalie Premier Cru Eye Cream

I’ve fallen in love with another eye cream that is a splurge, but a beautiful one! Caudalie Premier Cru The Eye Cream is creamy, silky and not only hydrates (with an amount smaller than a grain of rice), but also noticeably reduces puffiness and makes the overall eye area look better.

I loved the texture – extremely creamy yet light, which allowed it to penetrate my skin easily and absorb quickly. It also contains small illuminating particles which brighten up the under eye area. The hydration is fantastic and I also found that it reduced my morning puffiness quickly. This eye cream is also very makeup friendly – it didn’t cause my concealer to ball up, or wear off.

If you’re in the market for a truly luxurious eye cream – that also preforms (and will last months on end), this is the one!- RLB

Protect Your Colorful Pucker With a Lipstick Sealer

As makeup-obsessed as I may be, lipstick is one thing I’m always a little iffy about. I know, it’s embarrassing, as someone who’s supposed to fearless when it comes to any and all products and trends… lipstick of all things should hardly be my Achilles’ heel. I’ve always been more of a dramatic-eyes-and-natural-gloss girl, but a recent retro costume night – complete with fire engine red lipstick – has me totally rethinking my trepidation toward richer lip hues. However, unlike nude gloss, bold lipstick can easily smudge, feather, end up on your teeth, your date, and other embarrassing places. And if I’m being realistic, if I’m finally going to embrace my untapped potential in the realm of colorful lipstick, I need a fool-proof way to rock it – no disasters! And a lipstick sealer is the way to do it – just top off your lush coat of lip color with one of these clear gloss-like sealers and your color will wear longer, smudge less (or never!), and stay put throughout drinks, smooches, and splashes.

Deborah Lippmann Gets Festive with Holiday Glitter Polishes!

As a nail polish addict, I’m a big fan of Deborah Lippmann – and I’m not alone! Deborah’s trend-making lacquers are always the “it” shades on every runway, cover shoot, and red carpet, and if her lacquers are good enough for the finicky celebrities she’s turned into diehard fans, they’re good enough for me! And Deborah doesn’t let any special occasion pass by without commemorating with some festive specialty shades! Just in time for the upcoming holiday season, the glitter-loving nail expert has created two gorgeous glitzy polishes – Shake Your Groove Thang (a glittering gold) and Do Ya Think I’m Sexy? (a gorgeous shimmering red) – perfect for jazzing up your holiday party look! Wear alone in multiple layers for an all-over chunky glitter look, or layer over coordinating or contrasting shades to serve as a gorgeously festive topcoat! They make great little stocking stuffers for the nail polish addict on your list… but don’t forget to stock up for yourself in time for all your pre-Christmas cocktail parties!

Cry Baby Semi-Permanent Mascara: Better Than Pro Extensions?

In recent years, there’s been a revived infatuation with lush, enhanced lashes… and I totally get it. I’ll jump on any excuse to glue on some false lashes from the extensive collection that lives in my messy makeup case, and while I haven’t sprung for professional extensions just yet, it’s only out of laziness (and addiction to my aforementioned tried-and-true falsies), not lack of want! Enhanced lashes give that instant feminine look that make us feel automatically prettier, even if it’s just brushing on a couple coats of mascara before heading to the grocery store. But what if you could have lush, lengthy lashes – rain or shine, wet or dry, no daily application needed? Lauded as one of Allure’s Biggest Beauty Breakthroughs this year, Cry Baby Semi-Permanent Mascara gives you gorgeous fringe courtesy of custom-blended fibers applied by a trained professional, depending on your desired fullness, that lasts up to 2 weeks – no budging, no smudging, no harm to your natural lashes! It’s the perfect special-occasion pro treatment for brides (especially those prone to get emotional on their big day!) or vacationing beauties who can’t afford to touch up their mascara every time they hit the beach! Plus, at a fraction of the cost of most lash enhancement treatments (depending on your local salon!), you can afford to pamper yourself within reason! As long as you don’t mind sparing the 30 minutes for the initial application appointment, the time you’d normally spend applying regular ol’ mascara for those 2 weeks can really add up!

These Patent Platform Wedges Have Us Feeling Daytime Disco Fever!

The bad news is: the summer of sexy sky-high wedge sandals is officially over as we embrace chilly fall. The good news is: you don’t have to give up your favorite trend just because the weather forecast (and everything you know about seasonal fashion fare) says so! Clunky, chunky, funky wedges are getting a fall update with dark tones, closed toes, and even structural heels that you can rock with your favorite fall trousers, cords, or (if you’re daring) even tights!  For example, these Robert Clergerie “Olympy” sandals from Barneys have trendy color-blocking and criss-crossing straps for a bad-ass fall look. These Sergio Zelcer “Cata” Wedge Sandals are extra high (and extra fierce!) with a shiny patent finish and cool cut-out details for plenty of visual interest. And don’t forget these T-Strap “Maggie” Sandals with a staircase-inspired structural heel, which puts a new spin on the super-high wedge!

Inject Some Instant Rocker Edge Into Your Wardrobe With a Studded Clutch

Nowadays, there are some many ways to incorporate rocker-chick inspired studs into your outfit, you could probably wear them head-to-toe (but it sounds heavy and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it). Given the many embellished options out there today — from boots and jackets to bags, dresses and beyond — I have to say that my favorite be-studded option is the studded clutch. It allows you to add a little edge to any outfit without totally making or breaking your style, adds a cool bad-gal vibe to even the sweetest of ensembles, and gives you that rocker chic flair without upstaging your look. Go for something cool and classic like this silver-studded Alexander McQueen “Wicca” clutch, or opt for something cool and textured like this multi-studded clutch from Topshop. And if you’re feeling all these fall-festive colors we’ve been seeing lately, I love the color of this Bottega Veneta Studded Knot Clutch from Barneys, or this evergreen Valentino clutch, which folds over for extra compactness!

Your Inner Bad Girl Will Love These Spiky Pumps!

The fashion world seems to never tire from updating the classic pump. From chunky platform soles and architectural heels to leather, suede, and sequins in every shade of the rainbow, it’s basically impossible to get sick of a style that’s constantly getting revamped! And while you may already have a substantial collection of standard go-tos like black and nude, plus a couple fun shades and sparkly pairs to switch things up, this season’s pumps are ready to embrace the rough and rugged in the form of spike embellishments! Sure, we’ve already seen our share of studs and moto-inspired shoes… but spikes are a whole new ballgame. Lady GaGa would certainly approve, but do you have the guts to rock spike-studded pumps? I love the way the girly platform heel and the bad-gal inspired spikes provide the ultimate sexy contrast, but they’re certainly not for the demure dresser, or the faint of heart! What do you think – super-chic, or too extreme?

It’s high school Homecoming season, and if you’ve been too busy stalking your former classmates on Facebook to pay attention to the newest trends, you may be surprised at what’s hot for the winter season ahead! Letterman jackets, also known as varsity jackets, are making a big comeback with chic designer versions that put an upscale spin on the classic oversized style. Even if you’re long past your school days – no matter how hard you try convincing others that it wasn’t that long ago – you can still rock this classmate-inspired trend, and without resurrecting bad memories of your sophomore year yearbook photo, for that matter! Relive your days as head of the class with the varsity quarterback’s jacket draped around your shoulders… or show exactly how hot you would have looked rockin’ the basketball star’s jacket, if he had been smart enough to give you a second look! Whether warm and woolly or leather-paneled and sleek, you’re bound to find a version you love that’s too cool for school!

Go Retro-Cute With Updated Cameo Jewelry!

Cameo jewelry – even if you didn’t realize that was the name for it, you’ve definitely seen it around! Whether adorning strict headmistresses on TV or movies, tangled in other trinkets in your grandmother’s old jewelry case, or maybe even on fashionable celebrities who manage to pull off the vintage-chic look without looking stuffy, cameo carvings have been present in jewelry trends for ages! And while the classic symbology is what makes the accessory so chic and timeless, it also can make you feel (or look) like a schoolmarm, especially given all the high-necked blouses that are in this season! However, when worn right, it can provide a sexy contrast to an edgy night-out look or add some retro flavor to some of this season’s hottest trends. If your grandmother doesn’t have any authentic pieces to pass down, peep this chic cocktail ring in pink or this whimsical take on cameo from Tarina Tarantino. For something a bit more classic, these cameo drop earrings by Sophia and Chloe or this Gem Kingdom pendant necklace are gorgeous with a sexy little black dress!
