Fall Flat Shoe Wishlist

by Carlina Harris

Heels have been getting taller and taller lately- eight inches anyone?  My feet really can’t handle it (being Lady Gaga for Halloween definitely took a toll on my poor tootsies- but it was sooo much fun being her)! Lady gaga

Hence, I am pretty excited that flats are so back, in a big way. No longer do you have to be tall to be chic. Flats can be fabulous too. Winter is just around the corner, give your toes some sass, and sparkle with some of my favorite flat picks.

Sparkle and Shine:

Sequins and rhinestones are big hits during the holiday season, why not bring the bling to your feet? Sassy flats can be as statement making as any old pair of platforms. Tone down the rest of your outfit, as to not appear a walking talking Christmas display. Go ahead and turn up the bright on your feet and watch heads turn!

Studded Styles:

These stunner’s are just too hot to trot (in). Fashion folks round the world have professed their undying love for this hardware, seen on purses and clothes. Obvious shoes were getting a bit jealous!

Menswear:

Another huge trend. It has been creeping up on us in form of button downs, slacks, fedora’s, and now shoes. I already own a fabulous pair of taupe oxfords, but may have to get another- the price on the F21 ones are great!

Summer Sweetness = Modern Gingham Dresses + Repetto Ballet Flats

It’s no secret the menswear plaid for women trend is in full swing, and when this look meets classic summer style, you get gingham. Sure, gingham dresses are a classic but the freshest summer palettes are colorful and crisp. Black and white gingham also looks smart for warm weather dressing. Gingham is pure summer. Crisp clean checks of gingham add a lovely vintage ’50s tune to summer sundresses. So what are you waiting for? Get set this summer with a gingham dress for lawn parties, picnics and fun in the sun. Pair with classic Repetto ballet flats to complete a look a la Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday.

The Classic Ballet Flat – All Tied Up

Jeffreycampbell_balletflat
Yes, ballet flats. I absolutely love flats and they're so easy and wear with just about anything, I often talk myself into buying…just ONE more pair. Although I love bright colors – I typically find myself investing in various styles of black ballet flats. I just can't say no! So the fact that I love these Jeffrey Campbell flats should come as no surprise.

The darling bow really helps seal the deal, and I especially love the turquoise flats embellished with tiny studs. A classic style available in more than just black, so – if you're anything like me – you'll talk yourself into all three colors. Keep in mind, though, the classic black flat is on sale for less than $50. Yes, you DO need another pair of black ballet flats!
