I’ve been a little reticent to write about the boyfriend jeans trend because I wasn’t sure how I felt about them and whether or not they were a good denim investment. But the verdict is in – they are here to stay and they SHOULD be! I spent so many years trying to squeeze and fit into the perfect pair of low rise, skinny legged, tattered jeans but now my search is over and I can finally put myself in something more comfortable.
The one thing to keep in mind when going for the boyfriend trend is to balance out the baggy. You won’t want an incredibly baggy or billowy top, but you also don’t want something too girly or tight or revealing. In keeping with the trend, stick with a traditional tee shirt and throw something on – like a blazer or vest – to cinch in the look.
Pair the jeans with pumps, gladiator sandals or ballet flats. The rolled-up look is also a hit – as evidenced by these pictures!
