I've been looking for a pair of brown boots. And not just any boots – they have to be comfortable enough to walk in, yet versatile enough to go with skirts, pants, jeans and leggings. In short, the need to look good while being very walkable. I met a friend for drinks last night and she had on just such a pair of boots, so it renewed my dedication to my search for a perfect pair.

Since spring is here, it might be best to go with a lighter leather so they'd fit in better with the season, but will still be able to be worn during the winter months. I don't want anything suede because I want them to be waterproof as well. They must be flat because – let's face it – something with much of a heel just isn't going to give me the comfort I'm looking for. A bit of a wedge might be fine, but nothing to drastic. So I headed out to search, and found some great options:

The first are my favorite. Structured, with style, flat but still amazing. Would go well with anything from skirts to jeans. Thes second pair are a little bit darker than I would like, but they fit my other criteria! The third pair come in brown AND black! Now that you mention it … my black boots ARE starting to wear out…

It may be spring, but it's never too late in the year to shop for boots!
