edunonetee
Edun has just reduced the price of their ONE Tee which is one of Edun’s most popular items ever, featured in campaigns with Liv Tyler, Ben Affleck, and Gwyneth Paltrow. This tee is now available for  just $28. Even with a $12 price drop, Edun continues to donates $10 from each t-shirt to ALAFA, an organization in Africa that provides HIV/AIDS education and medicines for apparel factory workers.

ALAFA stands for the Apparel Lesotho Alliance to Fight AIDS. It was launched in Maseru in May 2006 to provide prevention and treatment for the more than 40000 mainly women Basotho workers in the textile and apparel industry, one third of whom are estimated to be infected with HIV.

This tee is available in Mens, Womens and Kids sizes in black or white. They’re made in Lesotho from 100% African cotton and will be available at this price for as long as supplies last. Please take this opportunity to help out with this worthy cause.

Green is the new Black!

By The Devil Wears Marc Jacobs
Kleenkanteen
Greetings Earthlings, and Happy Earth Day! In the wake of the
tremendous (fabulous in my opinion) heat wave, it is time to give back
to our amazing planet! So grab those gardening gloves, unearth your
outdoor shoes, and plant a tree. While you are at it: change regular
old light bulbs to CFL's, and recycle your old plastic water
bottles-never to be used again, and get yourself a Klean Kanteen.

Ever since I got mine, I haven't spent a dime on bottled water. Saving cash, and saving the planet, one landfill at a time!

Always
do everything with style, and in-style is my motto, so of course I will
be planting my geraniums, in something chic, fabulous, and Eco-friendly
of course. I found tons of Earth Days discounts on fashionable items,
below are some of my faves.

I Will Follow Bono to EDUN

Green-shopaholic-edun

EDUN is our featured Green Shopaholic Company of the Week. Why are they our company of the week? Because one of the founders is Bono and we love cranking up the U2 when finding green shopping deals.

This socially conscious clothing company, founded in 2005,  is the
creation of Bono, Ali Hewson (Bono’s wife), and Rogan Gregory. They
specialize in organic clothing, graphic tees, and eco clothing. Their
clothing has elements of Art Nouveau style and many designs are inspired by nature.

Like the old adage, give a fish and you feed someone for a day but show
them how to fish and you have food for a lifetime.  EDUN tries to do
the same thing for developing nations. According to their website, EDUN
was founded “on the premise of trade as a means of building sustainable
communities in developing countries to help foster economic growth
rather than provide charity.”

EDUN uses locally run factories in Africa, South America, and India
to create their eco-conscious designs.  For example, 40% of 2008’s
Spring/Summer line was produced in Africa.
