I’ve written before about the resurgence of tribal prints and they’re showing up everywhere! My favorite way to take advantage of this look is by throwing on a funky tunic, inspired by all kinds of different exotic prints and patterns. Black and white looks are big, but if you want a little more color, you’ll be happy to find a vast selection that seems to conjure up the African plains or traditional tribal garb.

I’m not sure if this is a good sign or bad sign but because of the proliferation of these prints, you can find them for pretty inexpensively and the below options are from Forever 21 and all under $25. I love the short-sleeved blue and red option – I love the geometric patterns infused with the tribal look.

Global Inspiration: Aztec Print Dresses

Aztec_dresses

I love prints, especially when they're geometric and colorful. And the newest trend fits all of these criteria: The Aztec print is poised to be one of the summer's must-have additions. Before you start thinking desert hippie, I should point out that these looks have been updated and re-defined to suit our most modern, chic fashion needs. I've never been one for much ethnic styles, but we've noticed other bits creeping in as well: fringe, feathers, etc. These items that have been sloughed off in years past are coming to the forefront of the fashion world – so why not Aztec prints?! Of all the ethnic looks, this one would definitely have to be my favorite, as it can be integrated in so many different ways.

It can take on a whimsical feel as part of a dress, it can announce its presence by being bold and colorful, and it can be the inspiration for an entire outfit. Don't over-do it, though. You probably don't want to utilize the Aztec print, fringe AND feathers. It just might be a bit much. Fortunately, this is a look that can speak for itself. Add a few basic accessories, and maybe a plain blazer to tone it down a bit, and you have a great on-the-go outfit!
