Impulse Buy of the Week – Cle de Peau Extra Silky Lipstick
By now, most of you know I LOVE beautiful packaging – so needless to say Cle de Peau products had me at “Hello”.
Now after recently trying the line for the first time I can honestly say that this is the perfect impulse luxury treat for yourself.
I tried the Cle de Peau Extra Silky Lipstick in shade #124, which is from their new Heritage Collection. This was simply one of the prettiest, most beautifully formulated lip products I have ever tried. Ever!
124 was perfect for creating a pink “your lips but better” look. The shade, pictured left, is a slightly cool pink with a touch of creamy light brown/mauve. The color is perfect for daytime, weekend, minimal looks as well as if you are doing a very strong bold smoky eye with a nude lip.
This color will work up to about a Gabrielle Union shade.After the beautiful packaging and perfect shade the next feature that blew me away was the texture of the lipstick. It was a silky smooth, creamy lipstick/gloss hybrid which gave me the effect of a sheer lipstick and a beautiful touch of gloss with just a few strokes of the lipstick pen holder. The lipstick was extremely moisturizing and even felt during the day like it was also acting like a balm.
Even though the effect is sheer, the color was still buildable and stayed so soft and glowing.Editor’s Note: This long, sophisticated lipstick holder isn’t retractable, so only click the bottom once for each application so that you don’t waste any formula from the case. -RLB
