Orange Is The New Yellow

orange_babygear

Is orange the new yellow when it comes to gender neutral baby gear?  It appears so!  Retro and modern at the same time, these baby items create an awesome pop of color.  The sleek design of the Flair Highchair allows new parents to retain some of their pre-baby style in the kitchen.  Take that style on the go with a trendy baby buggy and fashionable diaper bag! Planning on having more than one child?  Purchasing orange baby products ensures the items will be able to be used a second or third time (or more!), no matter the gender of future babies.

Bring the Outside In with these Bold, Graphic Reversible Pillows

Too often we can get stuck in a design rut. Many of us have the same furniture layout for years or the same pillows and accent pieces but by switching out your existing pillows with a fresh and bold print, and adding a few accents to tie it into the room you can give your room a whole new look.

Don’t be afraid to use a pillow with a graphic design or bold pattern to give your sofa or room a new look. Many people play it safe and buy solid pillows. Take a design risk and see what a fun, bold, nature inspired pillow will do for your room.

We love these pillows because they are not only bold, but they bring a but of nature in the room and they are even reversible, so you can use them in another room when you are ready for a change.

The pillows run between $30-65 a piece.

Making over your bed cover is an easy task that will give your bedroom a new lease on life. My latest obsession for a bedroom makeover is with quilts. I’ve always been a lover of a pretty duvet cover, but recently I’ve become enamored with the look of quilts with a modern edge. Textile designer, Denyse Schmidt’s modern quilts are a fresh take on the traditional quilt. These aren’t your granny’s twee patchwork quilts, but modern designs translated into colorful handmade works of art.

Dog Beds Fit for a King

dogbeds

My puppies will be a year old next week and they’ll be ready to start transitioning from their kennels to dog beds, at least as a place to hang out during the day. Not only would a dog bed be a comfy place for them, it’d get these unsightly crates out of my living room!

Being fashion obsessed I am on the hunt for the ultimate dog bed. The designs range from natural and organic to opulent over the top thrones for the little prince or princess pup.  There are some delightful options out there ranging from stripes to modernist and they’re not all ridiculously priced. They’re still technically puppies so it might only be a matter of time till they rip a bed apart! For that reason, I don’t want to spend too much on a dog bed for my precious pals.
