Just when you thought you’d seen it all, the ever-popular alphabet beauty trend shows no signs of stopping! Nearly all of our favorite makeup and skincare brands have jumped on the BB bandwagon, but few have expanded into developing BB creams that aren’t just for your face! That is, until Jergens’ latest moisturizer! After all, with spring around the corner and miniskirt weather not too far away on the horizon, skin-perfecting from head-to-toe is essential for prepping for the stylish, sunny days ahead! Available in two different shades (light-medium skin tones, and medium-deep skin tones), Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream boasts 5 skin-boosting perks: it hydrates, illuminates skin with a subtle sheen, evens redness and discoloration, firms, and corrects tone while blurring the appearance of imperfections. It goes on sheer and dries quickly, improving skin with each use while also creating the immediate appearance of a more perfect complexion. And at only $12 a bottle, you’ll be ready for shorts season in no time!
It’s easy to assume for a skin care product to work, it needs to get sudsy, be a heavy cream, or sting a bit. Organic skin care, such as Melvita, bucks this notion without synthetics that create those reactions.
Melvita – a French organic skin care line – created a moisturizer that is a serum rather than a traditional lotion called Melvita Orange Blossom Extraordinary Water ($25, 3.38 oz.). Melvita was founded by a beekeeper almost 30 years ago with an emphasis on the highest standard of formulations. The Orange Blossom Extraordinary Water is 99% natural and 42% organic with ingredients such as neroli, orange blossom, fig, and hyaluronic acid.
To consolidate my skin care regimen, I used Melvita as both an after shave and moisturizer. The non greasy serum instantly soothed and hydrated my skin with a light citrus aroma. After a few days of use, the texture of my skin softened to a silky feeling. It also made makeup look flawless.
Melvita Orange Blossom Extraordinary Water is certainly extraordinary as a healing moisturizer with many other uses. It can be used as a primer, a moisturizer, a toner, and an after shave treatment. It even comes in other aromas such as rose and narcissus.

As many of us know (and may have learned the hard way), achieving the perfect summer complexion is easier said than done. After all, we’re all far too educated about the dangers of the sun’s harmful rays to get our tan on the old-fashioned way (which is a good thing!). However, the alternative – sunless tanning products – may leave you looking like a member of the Jersey Shore cast when not used correctly. Enter your summer skin savior: Glow It All Gradual Glow Body Moisturizer by mark. An all-purpose moisturizing lotion with subtle shimmer and gradual color, this must-have summer product provides us beauty mavens with the most flattering, natural, buildable summer hue with each application. No mess, no streaks, no unpleasant odor, no dark patches in those tricky dry spots, and no unsightly orange sheen! Too good to be true? No way! If Glow It All doesn’t make you look and feel prepared for shorts season, you might just have to stock up on more shorts!

There are two products which are great basics
The second product is the River Veda Everyday Evening Primrose Organic Moisturizer certified organic as well as vegan. This felt heavenly on my face. It’s lightweight and creamy and has an amazing almost marshmallow scent. It absorbed quickly and left my skin feeling very soft with no greasy or heavy feel. It did not clog pores or irritate my skin. It is perfect for normal, combination and dry skin. This product does not contain SPF however.
The packaging is simple, elegant and calming – perfectly suiting the line. They also have men’s skincare options.
If you’re in the market for new skincare and/or want to try organic products that are really worth the price, I highly reccomend this line! – RLB

You don’t have to be acne-ridden, addicted to indoor tanning, or someone who’s aging ungracefully in order to suffer from a less-than-stellar complexion. Almost all of us deal with some form of unsightly redness or blotchiness, dark spots, or dullness, and Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins has a must-have fix-it product that just may spare you from drastic (and expensive) professional treatment. Mega-Bright Skin Tone Correcting Serum may not be magic, but it’s got to be the next best thing – just apply onto clean skin in the morning and evening before bed to visibly reduce skin imperfections after just 4 weeks! Its natural ingredients help make skin brighter, more even, and more luminous, and even helps protect against future irritation and discoloration. Plus the gentle, lightweight formula applies smoothly so it’s never heavy or sticky, and it’s safe for all skin types, providing potent results without irritating sensitive skin!

As much as some of us would like to, we can’t all be blessed with a tan year-round – and it isn’t necessarily always in season to rock a just-back-from-the-beach glow. But that shouldn’t discourage you from benefitting from the more natural options of beautifying your complexion! Cop a spring version of the perfect faux glow in the most flattering way possible, with a luminizing body lotion. Unlike self-tanners, it won’t leave you streaky, discolored or unseasonably orange, and there’s no need for any tricky trial-and-error to find your ideal skin tone match. Luminizers work for all skin tones and types, moisturizing skin while leaving just the slightest shimmery sheen that will catch the light in all the right places, making you appear just a tad bit slimmer and bringing out the best of your natural tone without tampering with it. You’ll get a more natural-looking spring glow that camouflages skin imperfections and leaves you naturally radiant!

Kiehl’s may not deliver the most bargain-friendly bath and body goodies around, but it’s comforting for us shopping addicts to know that our hard-earned money is not only going towards quality skin care and beauty, but also to a good cause to boot! The 160-year-old, New-York-based apothecary brand is no stranger to giving back, and their renewed partnership with Jeff Koons kicked off the recent holiday season with another limited-edition Creme de Corps collection – this time inspired by the artists’ legendary “Balloon Flower (Yellow)” sculpture. While the holiday season is well over by now (*sigh of relief*), luckily it’s not too late to take part in the charitable cheer! Ranging in price from $29-72, plus a collectible bottle topper inspired by the original sculpture for $50, this collection donates 100% of its net proceeds (up to $200,000) to The Koons Family Institute, a branch of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children. Plus, considering Creme de Corps has been lauded as the most hydrating of Kiehl’s extensive collection of moisturizers, it’s the perfect purchase to help you beat brittle winter skin!

If you’re like me and have sensitive skin that’s prone to redness — and not in a sort of subtle, sweet rosy-cheeked sort of way — you know how tough it can be to cover it up without irritating it even further. Whether you’re just washing your face too roughly, using too-harsh products not cut out for sensitive skin, or just in a climate that doesn’t sit well with your finicky complexion, you know redness is unsightly (and sometimes even painful and dry!) and can be extra tough to soothe and calm down. Piling more and more concealer and powder on top of the problem definitely isn’t the way to go, so start at the base of your skincare with a soothing, redness-relieving moisturizer! Not only will it help eliminate the appearance of redness, but it also relieves dryness and flaky skin to prevent future redness and irritation, and feels soothing against sensitive and enflamed skin. Even if your skin isn’t prone to redness at all times of the year, it’s a great product to have on hand in the dry winter months!

As a fairly active, busy gal, I spend a lot of time outdoors and admittedly don’t take care of my skin as well as I know I should! It can be tough to take the time out to moisturize dry summer skin, but it truly doesn’t have to be such a chore.
