Piggy Paint: Non-Toxic Nail Polish for Kids

piggy-paint-kids-nail-polis

I love baby feet. Baby feet are perhaps the cutest thing on earth. When my daughter was three months old I discovered Piggy Paint and her toes became even more adorable. Piggy Paint is non-toxic and odorless nail polish. It air dries in 60 seconds- perfect for wiggling babies, active toddlers and pre-schoolers. It comes in 13 different colors from sweet and innocent to bright and fun. Piggy Paint nail polish remover is also non-toxic, odorless and hypoallergenic. Piggy Paint and Piggy Polish Remover are both made with all natural ingredients. They are safe for your children and safe for the environment. Every ingredient in the polish is biodegradable. The colorants used are FDA approved and non-toxic so you can rest assured they are safe.

Before discovering Piggy Paint, I never would have polished my daughter’s precious toes. I love that I was able to do so safely. Her feel looked adorable but I’m really looking forward to using Piggy Paint on her when she is old enough to know what it is.

Fall Beauty Goal: Deep, Dark Colors

Try One of These Trends

If you’re anything like me, it can be tough enough to weed out the closet and get rid of last-season and last-last season throwbacks. When it comes to beauty trends, you get bogged down in the details and might pick something unflattering. We’re featuring a few really easy beauty trends to try now for Fall 2009, and no–not the “no eyebrow” look!

Here are just a few dramatic, spot-on trends to try out:

*Rich Polish: Think drama, but not bright, when you choose to dash on some nail polish on this season. A touch of metallic polish is never bad, and rich purple and berries make a statement.

*Forest Colors: Think earthy and smokey, in dark green and gray. It’s as easy as picking up a new pot of eyeshadow, or a new fall makeup palette at the drugstore. Simply sweep some on for night, and top the look off with mascara.

*Tinted Lip Balm: Stock up on Stila lip gloss, shown, for an on-trend look that’s super low-key.

What will you be stocking up on this fall?

Beauty—Creamy Neutrals from Nars and Butter London

NARS’ Chelsea Girls left, Butter London’s Fash Pack right

My birthday was back in May, but I’m still reaping the rewards of my generous friends, one of which introduced me to Butter London nail lacquers, which are notably free of formaldehyde, toluene and DBP. The hue of choice? Fash Pack, a milky chocolate that goes quite well with olive complexions, especially after a little summer sunning. I’ve been so into it, in fact, I’ve found myself allured by other creamy neutrals, like NARS‘ nude-y beige Chelsea Girls, an investment that’s already offered up ample returns.

Sneak Peak! Damone Roberts 1968 for OPI Nail Polish

I recently had the pleasure of getting a sneak peak of the new Damone Roberts 1968 for OPI nail shade with my own preview bottle!

The shade will be on sale at all Damone Roberts salons and their retail partners such as Takashimaya starting August 1st.

If you are a fan of green shades in general, or are just looking for something pastel for summer that’s not your typical pink, then this is the color for you!

The color is inspired by the beautiful trademark mint green walls at all of Damone Roberts’ salon locations (and his cute shopping bags)! According to Roberts, “It is not your typical mint green. It has a little touch of gray in it and a little touch of brown.”

Roberts is right on the money with this green shade – the gray and brown make it soft, chic and wearable on most skintones!

Nail polish lovers – mark your calenders for August 1st! Don’t worry, we’ll also tweet and remind you a few days before, so make sure you’re following us on Twitter. – RLB
