Yes we are counting the days until Christmas and we bet you have plenty of holiday shopping to finish! Of course you want to look your best when out and about choosing just the right gifts for your friends and family. To keep warm yet comfy dashing in and out of your favorite boutiques, put on a puffer jacket such as this classic quilted, tulip hem Andrew Marc Journey Puffer Coat in black. Be sure to layer with a warm cashmere turtleneck, step into a pair of waterproof boots for looking your best through snow and rain, and don’t forget to protect your fingers with some soft as buttah gloves. We love this Mulberry gem studded number!

Surprisingly Stylish Takes on the Puffer Coat!

The new year may have us surrounded by spring catalogs and wardrobe must-haves that have us looking forward to the warmer weather months ahead, but let’s face it — it’s still freakin’ cold. So before you get ahead of yourself and start stocking up for the springtime, don’t forget to make sure you’re prepared to bear the bitter chill of the last half of winter! One of this season’s cold-weather staples has been the puffer coat — but to be quite honest, I was never much of a fan. Don’t get me wrong — I understand the need to stay warm, but the whole puffy shapeless look never did much for my curvy figure. That’s why I’ve scoured the cyber-racks for some more stylish takes on the puffer coat — sleek and cropped, belted (yes!), feminine and quilted, and even moto-inspired — for a trendier take on the look that keeps you warm without sacrificing style. After all, unless you’re spending the day in a blizzard, there’s no excuse for an unflattering winter ensemble!

Kids Winter Coats from Company Kids

It’s that time of year again.  The temperature has dropped and coats are essential for outdoor play.  Bundle the kids up and keep them warm with a coat from Company Kids.  Available in Evergreen or Deep Blue, the Boys’ Hooded Puffer Coat is especially cozy.  It features a 550 fill power down fill with a water resistant nylon shell and polyester lining.  Reflective piping helps keep kids visible in the dark while rib knit storm cuffs and inside bottom wind protector keep the cold out and the warmth in.  The zippered detachable hood snaps just above the chin to further protect from the elements.  Two zippered side pockets and a small front snap pocket round out the detailing on this winter jacket.  A name plate on the inside will help make sure the coat is returned should your child misplace it at school or elsewhere.

Slim down coats under $300!

Slim down coats under $300! featured on Shopalicious.comSlim down coats under $300! featured on Shopalicious.comSlim down coats under $300! featured on Shopalicious.comEvery spring, when the weather turns warm and I finally take off my trusty NorthFace down coat, a few friends will say “you’ve lost weight!”; well, it’s never the case, it’s just the puffiness of my coat! Despite the visual volume of down coats, they can’t be beat when it comes to warmth, and they’re easy to care for and super lightweight. So this year, I’m lining up down coats with a slimmer fit, all under $300.00! Here goes: Elie Tahari black nylon ‘Lisa’ down hooded coat $237.00 from Bluefly; Patagonia Mor Coat $225.00 from Paragon, and DKNY “Bethany Cire” Down Coat $278.00 from Bloomingdales.
