Not only are there so many styles out there, but also you have to take into account what you're really looking for. Do you want something shorter? Then you have to make sure it's not too short. Are you looking for more coverage? But also keeping in mind you don't want to look older that you have to. There's a lot more to take into account than meets the eye when shopping for a "basic" pair of jean shorts!

If you are looking for something shorter, make sure you're comfortable in them. You definitely don't want them to be too tight, since, at a shorter length, you'll be cinched in at all the wrong places!

The fact that knee-length shorts are in this season is great news if you're just not that comfortable with shorter styles. Again, pick something that isn't too tight, or you'll look like an inverted triangle! You want the leg to be wide enough to give a straight line coming off your hip.
